Research laboratory “Modeling of Stochastic Processes”
Department of AM operates in the aud. 27-z, building “Z”.
Main areas of work:
• Stochastic models and methods in energy systems
• stochastic models and methods of detection, recognition, classification and high-precision tracking of moving objects in the land, air and sea environment
• stochastic models and methods of mathematical and computer modeling of trajectories of objects in ground, air
• Mathematical modeling and optimization of non-stationary non-isothermal modes of transport and distribution of natural gas in gas transmission systems
• Interval analysis and its applications
• Fractal and multifractal analysis of self-similar stochastic processes
• Method of R-functions in mathematical modeling of physical and mechanical fields
• Geographic information systems and technologies in energy systems
• Mathematical modeling and numerical analysis of computed tomography images

- The Department of PM annually holds an international scientific and technical conference “Information Systems and Technologies” with the participation of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
- The scientific journal ECONTECHMOD is published jointly with the Polish Academy of Sciences. Head of the department prof. Tevyashev AD is a member of the editorial board of the journal.
- An agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science was signed between the University of Technology and Natural Sciences (Republic of Poland) and Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (Ukraine) in educational and scientific activities to improve teaching, research, exchange of achievements in teaching and research, mobility students and teachers.
