For three consecutive Saturdays, lecturers from the Department of Applied Mathematics at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics will be explaining the solutions to the NMT 2026 tasks.

The Department of Applied Mathematics invites lecturers, scientists, postgraduate students, and quality assurance specialists to join a series of open webinars hosted by the leading anti-plagiarism platform, StrikePlagiarism.com, taking place in June 2026.

Today, the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process creates new challenges for the academic community. This webinar cycle will help participants explore state-of-the-art text-checking tools, AI-generated content analysis, and the automation of academic control in higher education institutions.

On May 17, 2026, in accordance with NURE Order No. 148 dated March 24, 2026, the Department of Applied Mathematics held the 1st round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Mathematics for students of the Faculty of Information and Analytical Technologies and Management and the Faculty of Computer Sciences. The participants demonstrated profound knowledge, logical thinking, and a high level of mathematical training.

The community of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics celebrates another high achievement. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has awarded a Certificate of Honor to the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Maxim Viktorovych Sіdorov.

This high state award was bestowed upon Maxim Viktorovych “for initiative and perseverance, high professionalism, conscientious performance of official duties, and a significant personal contribution to the development of education and science in Ukraine”. The certificate was signed by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi.

On May 19, an online meeting was held with the parents of secondary school students from the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, dedicated to current issues regarding admission to our University.

Representatives of the Department of Applied Mathematics introduced future applicants and their parents to our popular educational programs — “Applied Mathematics” and “System Analysis.”

This May week has become special for the entire scientific community of our country and Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in particular. The Department of Applied Mathematics sincerely congratulates colleagues, students, and young researchers on two milestone holidays — the International Day of Women in Mathematics and Science Day in Ukraine!

Established in honor of the outstanding mathematician Maryam Mirzakhani (the first female winner of the prestigious Fields Medal), this day reminds us of the immense contribution of women to the development of exact sciences.
At the NURE Department of Applied Mathematics, women scientists, lecturers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates prove daily that mathematics is a field ruled by talent, creativity, and deep analytics. Our female researchers successfully chair scientific sections of international forums, publish papers in leading global journals, and inspire a new generation of prospective students.

Kiril Pysanchyn, a student from the STSA-25-1 group, secured an honorable 3rd place as a member of the “Dacmy Olimp” team (Cherkasy) in the “Youth Extra League U-19” futsal competition.

The tournament was held across four rounds, each consisting of three games. The first round kicked off on December 8, and the final matches took place on April 30. In total, the teams played 12 matches, following which our student’s team claimed the bronze medals of the championship.

The session was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian scientist V. L. Rvachev.
