The department educates students for three degrees:

- fundamental: mathematical analysis, functional analysis, algebra and geometry, differential equations, equations of mathematical physics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, discrete mathematics, random processes, numerical methods, methods of continuous and discrete optimization, mathematical logic and theory of algorithms;
- computer: programming in R, Python and C ++ languages, data structures and algorithms, software for computer systems, database management systems, computer graphics and computational geometry, computer networks, WEB-technologies, SCADA-systems, geo-information systems and technologies;
- professionally oriented: mathematical foundations of systems theory, modeling of complex systems, databases and information systems, stochastic programming, financial mathematics, interval mathematics, actuarial mathematics, fractal theory, chaos theory, control theory, organization of databases and knowledge, simulation modeling, optimal stochastic management, logistics;
- trend (top): knowledge base and knowledge management, Data Mining, Big Data, Machine Learning.
Graduates are professional experts in field of applied mathematics and systems analysis who are capable of abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis of information, able to apply knowledge in practical situations, work in an international context and evaluate the quality of work performed.
The obtained knowledge and skills in the field of system analysis allow to formalize problems, using mathematical methods, to apply general approaches to mathematical modeling of various processes; to build mathematically correct models of static and dynamic processes, taking into account the uncertainty of external and internal factors; formulate optimization tasks in the design of management systems and decision-making; design, apply and maintain software modeling, decision-making, optimization, information processing, data mining; use modern information technologies for computer implementation of mathematical models and forecasting.
Graduates in an educational program Systems Analysis can work as Financial Analysts, Business Analysts, System Analysts, Software Analysts, Web Analysts, IT Managers, Product Manager, Project Manager, Logistics Managers, Information Security Analysts, Information Systems Specialists, Data Managers ( Chief Data Officer), Technical Writers, also in field of Consulting (Strategic Planning), Business Process Optimization, Project Management.
The obtained knowledge and skills in the field of applied mathematics allow using and adapting mathematical theories and methods; select and apply mathematical methods for solving applied problems, modeling, analysis, design, management, forecasting, decision making; develop algorithms and data structures, software and software documentation; understand the formulation of the problem, formulated in the language of a particular subject area, search and collect the necessary input data; formulate a mathematical formulation of the problem, based on the subject area and choose the method of its solution, which ensures the necessary accuracy and reliability of the result.
